A driver’s school will be hosting a special event on November 5, 2019 to celebrate the school’s 100th birthday.
The school will host a live performance by singer, songwriter and producer Jai Singh Bajpai to celebrate its centenary, the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) state unit said on Tuesday.
Singh is a vocal supporter of the school, which was founded by Dr Jagdeep Singh Bhandari in 1951.
He was also a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and served as its General Secretary for 20 years, it said.
Singhal’s father, Jagdeep Bhandaris, was the founder of the Jagdish Bharti International School in the city.
Singhe was also the president of the Jodhpur-based All India Jockey Club.
He founded the Delhi-based Jagdha Bhandar Jockey School in 1962.
The Jagdhas also established a school in Kolkata.
The Aam Admi Party (Aap) said it would launch a fund-raising drive for the school in an attempt to revive the sport in the state.
